Ongoing Activities and General Diversions:
REVIELLE CLUB:
Beginning June 18th , Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 9:30 am.
Lap swimming for members over 16 years of age.
WATER AEORBICS (22 sessions!)
Beginning June 11th, Monday and Friday from 9:15 am to 1o:15 am. Class will run until August 24th. Fee for members: $40; Fee for guests: $40 registration plus $4.00 per class. Gusts from out-of-town may attend for $5 per class.
BABY’S MORNING OUT: Beginning June 11th, The Baby Pool will be open for children under 5 and their caregiver every Monday and Friday from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Bring a guest. Guest Fee: $2.00 per child. If your guest would like to stay beyond 10:30 am, regular guest fees apply.
“DOLLAR DOGS” & RAFT NIGHT: Every other Friday beginning June 8th. Hot dogs for $1.00 in The Grove from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. Enjoy the L-Pool with your friends, family, and favorite inflatables from 6:00 PM to closing. Dates: June 8, 22, July 6, 20, August 3, 17, 31
Please note: Rafts are not permitted in the diving well. No raft is permitted that restricts the ability of our Lifeguards to see underneath the raft. No “double-decker” rafts, inflatable boats, or rafts with any dimension greater than 6 feet. Jumping on rafts from the side of the pool is not allowed. If there are too many rafts in the pool to adequately ensure the safety and visibility of all swimmers, raft night may be suspended at the discretion of the manager on duty. These rules will be enforced to ensure the safety of our members and guests.
SUNDAY SUPPER : Every other Sunday beginning June 3rd from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM; offered for sale to members and guests on a first-come basis. Menu and prices are subject to change and will be posted prior to each Sunday supper. Dates: June 3, 17, July 1, 15, 29, August 12, 26
BUDDY DAYS: On Fridays, bring a friend (ages 17 and younger) with you for $1.00 and show them what makes SSC so great.
CLUB SWAP DAYS: If you are a member of Wallingford, Creekside, Rose Valley, or Swarthmore Swim Club you are free to participate in Club Swap Days. Please show your valid membership card at these clubs on the days listed to have full access as follows:
Monday: Wallingford
Tuesday: Creekside
Wednesday: Rose Valley
Thursday: Swarthmore Swim Club
1,000 LAP CLUB:
Members who swim 1,000 laps over the course of one summer will earn an Annual T-shirt (while supplies last). We make it easy for you by logging your laps on a card in the office. Each length of the pool is counted as 1 lap.
50-MILE SWIM:
1,000 laps not enough? Then it’s the 50-mile swim for you (that’s 3,520 laps).
We’ll still help you log your laps in the office and even give you 2 years to finish.
GAMES, BOOKS, AND MORE:
Board games, cards, and basketball and four-square balls are available in the office. Books and magazines are also provided for your reading pleasure. Snack Bar is open during regular pool hours.
Swim Lessons:
Lessons are offered for anyone from age 4 years through senior citizen and will follow the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim program. Groups lessons are offered Monday through Friday in 2 week increments for 8 classes per session. Private and semi-private lessons are offered by appointment only. Registration will be done at the club Welcome Center only and payment is required at time of registration. No registration will be taken over the telephone or by email. Registration will begin 12 Noon on Saturday, June 2ndand must be in person at the swim club office.
Group Swim Lessons:
Lessons are offered for anyone age 4 and up. Each session will consist of 8 classes, 30 minutes each, Monday through Thursday. Friday will be reserved for make-up classes due to weather or instructor cancellation. Classes will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration will begin at 12 noon on Saturday, June 2nd and must be in person at the swim club office. Full payment must be made at time of registration. Membership card must be presented at time of registration or nonmember fee will be charged. The Swim Club reserves the right to cancel any class due to under-enrollment. Every effort will be made to re-assign students if a class is canceled. Due to class size limitations, this may not be possible.
On the first day of each two-week session, students should arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled start time to be evaluated and placed in the appropriate group based upon skill level.

Morning Lessons: 10:30-11:00 and 11:15-11:45
Afternoon Lessons: 2:30-3:00 and 3:15-3:45
Session One: June 18 to June 29
Session Two: July 2 to July 13
(no class on Wednesday, July 4; class will be held on Friday, July 6)
Session Three: July 16 to July 27
Session Four: July 30 to August 10
Group Fees (8 classes at 30 minutes each)
Members: $45 per session per person
Nonmembers: $65 per session per person
Scheduling Private & Semi-Private Lessons
A schedule of available instructors and times will be at the office.
Payment in full must be made at time of registration.
Private Lesson Fees (30 minute session)
Members: $20; Nonmembers: $40
Semi-Private Lesson Fees
(30 minute session for two swimmers)
Members: $30 per lesson
Nonmembers: $40 per lesson
One Member and One Non-member: $35 per lesson
Additional Information:
Parent or caregiver must stay at the club during their child’s lesson.
If you miss a class, a make up class will NOT be offered. |
