More to follow, but a great new addition is ordered and in the works for 2012 - A NEW SLIDE!

This will be one of the most visible additions to our pool in quite some time and should have a great impact on your FUN THIS SUMMER! The slide itself is 19' long from a 7.5' high platform with a full sturdy staircase.
It's rated to 325 pounds, so it's not just for the kids. :) Learn more about the Vortex Slide System.

 


About Swarthmore Swim Club

Swarthmore Swim Club (SSC) is a nonprofit, co-op type organization in which all members have a stake in helping and improving the club for everyone’s enjoyment. Accordingly, there are opportunities to volunteer at work days such as spring and fall clean-ups and plantings; to donate games, toys, and equipment; to assist with club events and activities; or to join the SSC Board of Directors.

Remember, the strength of our club is an active membership.  Please enjoy the summer and do not hesitate to provide suggestions to the club management and Board of Directors about what we can do to keep SSC a healthy and vibrant part of our community.

Ground was broken for The Swarthmore Swim Club on March 6, 1955 facilitating the Club opening on July 4th 1955 with our largest pool the "L Pool"which in cludes a 2.5 feet depth section gradually increasing to depth for our diving well. Our 400 Charter member families started what we work to continue - a family oriented community swim club for the enjoyment of all members.

Shortly after opening, in May 1958, we opened our 25 yard, 6 lane, competitive lap pool where the Swarthmore Swim Team competes agains local clubs in season. Many local residents use this pool in season for health and exercise swimming thousands of laps each year.

Membership is offered to anyone who enjoys our quiet wooded setting. Apply for membership today.

Memberships are available. The Swarthmore Swim Club does not have a residency requirement, we welcome new members from all local communities. Contact Membership@SwarthmoreSwimClub.org for more information to join us this season.
